getting the kids to eat healthier

Postby shannonmforeman » Mon Jan 11, 2010 12:20 pm

It is very clear to me that I need to change my eating habits, but what concerns me more are my kids. I am trying to "wean" them off all the junk, without getting rid of everything at once. Its hard to go to the grocery and find food for them, especially snacks and things for their lunches. My question is-how has your family taken to this new way of eating and what are some of things your kids like. Something else that I can't stop thinking about is the info you put out on hamburger, i don't know if i will ever eat it again-seriously! Thanks for opening my eyes and really making me think about what I feed my family, Shannon

Hi Shannon. It really is eye opening. The first thing I would do is get them off the high fructose corn syrup! I would read the labels real close. Start in tiny little bites! Thanks for coming sat. Dr H

I saw the comment that you put out information on hamburger that made the writer not want to ever eat it again. Since I am new here I don't know where to find that information. I have been eating a lot of burger lately and that comment is scaring me. can you tell me where I can read that information or post it again for us. I am sure there are others who are new that would like to hear it too.
thanks,
Julia
